Parker to Host Diversity Job Fair 2007 At Parker, we are committed to developing opportunities that will allow the school to recruit and hire a more diverse faculty and staff. To strengthen our efforts to identify and attract candidates of color for open positions at Parker, the school will host this year’s Diversity Job Fair: For Teachers of Color Interested in Teaching Careers at Independent Schools.
In its three years of existence, this annual event has been a forum for potential candidates of color interested in learning more about independent schools and their career opportunities. Sponsored by Francis W. Parker School, The Latin School of Chicago and the University of Chicago Laboratory School, the Diversity Job Fair will welcome 12 Midwest independent schools, including The Ancona School, Baker Demonstration School, The Blake School (Minnesota), Breck School (Minnesota), Catherine Cook School, Avery Coonley School, Culver Academies (Indiana), La Lumiere (Indiana), Lake Forest Academy, North Shore Country Day School, Sacred Heart Academies and St. Paul Academy and Summit School (Minneapolis).
The Diversity Job Fair will take place on Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. This event is an important opportunity for the school. We have been fortunate during the past few years to have the opportunity to identify and hire impressive faculty who have attended the fair.
