The Importance of Play
Play is a healthy, essential part of childhood where students have the freedom and opportunity to expand their knowledge of the world around them, develop their motor skills and focus on their peers. Parker’s Extended Day Programs strive to support links between creative play and language, physical, cognitive and social development.

Our Staff
For over 25 years, Parker’s Extended Day Staff have offered students age-appropriate programs with a low child-to-staff ratio. Our staff oversee the program’s daily activities and serve as guides and mentors to ensure that each child’s after-school experience is a positive one.

Extended Day Programing is headquartered on campus in the 1st and 2nd grade hallway. Our parents and students have come to see our oversized room as a special place for participating in activities, storing belongings and relaxing. In addition to this space, we use many school facilities including the playground, athletic field, student kitchen, computer lab, gymnasiums and classrooms. Children also regularly take advantage of resources surrounding campus such as Lincoln Park Zoo and Oz Park.

Our Schedule
Because we understand the unique needs of each family, Parker Extended Day programs offer a variety of enrollment options ranging from daily attendance to an as-needed drop-in basis.

Parker PM Overview
Serving as a safe, nurturing and stimulating home away from home, Parker PM offers students a wide array of indoor and outdoor organized activities coupled with opportunities for creative free play.
