Student Vocalists Perform with Chicago Opera Theater

As part of this year’s Joan W. Harris Visiting Music Scholar in Residence program, members of our Middle and Upper School student choirs were invited to audition for Chicago Opera Theater (COT) to perform in its world premiere opera on the civil rights era, Freedom Ride.

Congratulations to students Isabella Charfoos ’21, Sam Goldblatt ’27, Victoria Grove ’26, Gigi Lopez ’20 and Anais Morris ’28 on being cast in the production. We wish you all the best with your live performances!

If you’d like to learn more about the process of creating Freedom Ride firsthand, please join us for a public lecture with composer Dan Shorem, COT mainstage artists and musical performances by COT artists and Parker’s Upper School Concert Choir on Tuesday, February 25 at 7 p.m.
