Scholastic Bowl Team Becomes Back-to-Back Regional Champs

By Scholastic Bowl Coach Ethan Levine
Parker’s Upper School Scholastic Bowl team took home its second consecutive Class 1A Regional Championship on Monday in Kankakee!

They earned identical 730-40 victories over Watseka in the quarterfinals and Bishop McNamara in the semifinals; this was the highest single-game point total in program history and the highest of any class 1A team in the state at the regional level. They clinched the title with a 380-230 win over Lexington.

The victory earns them a spot at sectionals, where they will face defending sectional champion Timothy Christian, defending small schools national champion Westmont and perennial Scholastic Bowl powerhouse Latin. Congratulations to seniors Jake Boxerman, Mason Gardner and Eli Moog; sophomore Grant Koh and freshman Annoshae Mirza, as well as Mia Wichman, a varsity team member who could not attend.
