Brothers Participate in National Karate Tournament
Two brothers recently participated in the 2023 USA Karate Nationals in Richmond, Virginia this summer.
Third grade student Alex and 7th grade brother Bradley Cortez-Bzdusek represented their dojo for the fourth consecutive year competing at this level. Their hard work and diligence paid off as Alex won the Bronze Medal in Kumite (combat) and Bradley won a Bronze Medal in Team Kumite.
When asked about their success, mother Liliana Cortez shared, “We feel proud of their perseverance and effort during the competition, but most importantly, of their hard work and training year-round. We feel karate is a wonderful complement to Bradley’s and Alex’s education at Parker. We are grateful the school introduced them to martial arts at an early age through the Judo classes offered by Parker P.L.U.S.”
Parker congratulates Alex and Bradley on their hard work.
