An Update to Parker’s Auction

Dear Parker Community,

Thank you for everything you have done to come together during this time. Every day, you prove the strength of our community, and if there is one shining light for what we are experiencing (and I actually have found several), it is that we are showing the power of collective action for the greater good.

Along those lines, we have an announcement with respect to this year’s Auction. As you know, the Auction enables us to fulfill a long-standing commitment to current and future families, providing financial assistance to ensure greater access to and affordability of a Parker education. We aim to keep that commitment to the 174 families already receiving assistance, but we also seek to prepare as best we can to support those in our community whose financial stability is shaken as a result of this unprecedented time. Keeping our Parker family together is paramount to our mission, and the need to support financial assistance still exists, perhaps now, more than ever.

I hope that we—parents, alumni, grandparents, past parents, employees, trustees and friends—can join together in support of one another beginning Friday, May 8 for a three-day online virtual community event. Please look for more details in the coming weeks.

Many thanks to Sang Ellis, Nicole Jackson, Tonia Kim and the many Auction volunteers who have given their time, creativity, flexibility and energy to make this event possible.

With gratitude,

Dan Frank
Principal
