Student Musicians Showcase Outstanding Progress!

Instrumentalists and singers recently participated in a Morning Ex and Music Showcase to share the progress they have made in their classes this year.

At the Morning Ex, Grape Jam began with a student-arranged a capella version of When the Day Met the Night. The students were then treated to a special “Morning Ex only” performance of selections from Pirates of the Caribbean by the Concert Band. Next, the Advanced Wind Ensemble performed Salvation is Created and Semper Fidelis. The Special Chorus performed the Malaysian folk song Wau Bulan. Finally, the 8th Grade Band joined with the 7th and 8th Grade Chorus to perform 21 Guns by Green Day.

This Morning Ex was a special preview for the Parker community before the students met again to perform at the Spring Music Showcase on Thursday night. Stay tuned next week for a special video from this concert!
