International Student Band Wows at Morning Ex

Parker welcomed a special musical guest on Monday as Sct. Mariæ Skoles Bigband dazzled students at MX. Sct. Mariæ Skoles Bigband, which hails from Aalborg, Denmark, comprises 30 Sct. Mariæ School students, from 12 to 16 years old, who are in Chicago to perform while on their autumn vacation.

This band performed a wide range of music, playing in different styles of swing, jazz and pop. Sct. Mariæ Skoles Bigband consists of a saxophone group with alto and tenor sax, a brass group with trumpet and trombone, as well as a rhythm group consisting of piano, bass and guitar.

Parker is thankful that these students and conductor Gert Nørgaard chose to stop by and perform as they travel around Chicago.
