4-1=5; Sunil Singh Comes to Parker

Author, speaker, teacher and math disruptor Sunil Singh joined us this past Monday as our first March Mathness speaker! A resident of Canada, Singh actually joined us by way of Texas, where he had just presented at SXSW on rethinking the way mathematics is taught to deepen all students’ love for mathematics and create lifelong enjoyers of mathematical problems and ideas.

Singh definitely had a full day at Parker! He began by conducting a parent workshop, presented at MX to students in grades 5 through 12, engaged in mathematical combat with the feisty and ferociously intelligent 4th grade and led a combined parent and teacher workshop.

Please take a look at these pictures of Singh interacting with our community. You'll likely see several familiar faces!
