Middle School “Music Messengers” Welcome Special Conductors

The Middle School Parker Partners “Music Messengers” played in the Front Alcove in a very special cross-divisional experience with friends from Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and 1st grade. These Lower School students made a special guest appearance as conductors and led their Middle School counterparts through a series of classic melodies. It was an adorably entertaining event that offered the LS students the chance to experience the basics of conducting gestures, dynamics and cut-offs. These conductors allowed the Music Messengers to focus on critical elements of instrumental music making, as the students united in their work to create beautiful music together. Music, for these students, will never be a stagnant, solitary medium, but rather a live, social and physical craft that unites participants of any ability.
