Upper School Strengthens Community

By Upper School Head Justin Brandon

On Wednesday, October 16, the Upper School began a new tradition. Our 9th grade students spent the morning participating in team-building activities led by members of the Loyola University Challenge Program. The day provided the 9th grade students with an opportunity to strengthen their sense of community and become familiar with each other.

Working with members of the College Counseling Office and faculty, seniors spent the day reviewing essays with faculty members, participating in mock interviews, working with their peers to complete applications and reviewing a checklist of any outstanding work to prepare their applications for submission in the coming weeks and months. They had a chance to focus on their college application and selection process while learning about the experiences of their classmates.
