Support Parker’s Creators at Project Invent’s Demo Day

In Parker’s inaugural year of building a Project Invent team, students have been using design thinking, engineering and computer science to create a physical device for volunteer Grayson Schmenti, a junior with multiple severe allergies.

The students have finished their interviews, sketches, coding, diagrams and prototypes and have arrived at their final design despite all the pandemic has thrown at them this school year. They have since developed a “pitch” for their invention, consisting of a slide deck and presentation, which they will present to a panel of real investors at the annual Project Invent Demo Day; this event has awarded more than $25,000 in funding to teams during the past two years.

While Parker had scheduled the Demo Day event for Saturday, April 25 in New York, it has been restructured into a virtual event scheduled Sunday, May 17 at 1 p.m. (PT) because of COVID-19. The good news? The entire Parker community and beyond can now virtually support the team at the event! Click here and register today.

Parker’s team is one of only 40 Project Invent teams nationwide and the only team in Illinois. Let’s do all we can to support our emerging inventors in their endeavors!
