Student Examines Changes in Clark Street Retail Composition

In the first semester of the year, Senior Jared Saef conducted an independent study under the guidance of faculty advisor Susan Elliott, examining the compositional change in the retail lining Clark Street in Lincoln Park over the last thirteen years.

Recently, he has submitted his work to the Mikva Foundation’s Action Civics Showcase, a citywide civics version of a science fair for youth to display their research and get feedback from community leaders.

Students’ projects are posted on this website. Saef’s project is filed under the “economics” tab and you can access it directly here. He encourages you to leave a reply under his project on the website with any takeaways or questions you may have.

Upper School students and faculty, please look out for an email soon from Saef about a Zoom presentation on his findings sometime next week.
