New Items in the Parent Education Resource

The Parent Education Resource (PER) is adding new items weekly.
 
The Parker Counseling Department has suggested articles describing how teens generally are faring in the pandemic (“Teens Did Surprisingly Well in Quarantine” and “How Teens Are Making Meaning Out of the Pandemic”), a website with articles on “Raising Digital Natives” and an article about World Kindness Day 2020. There is also a picture book for children about kindness (Each Kindness) and several new picture books that address discussing tough topics with children (LoveThere Might Be LobstersThe Rabbit ListenedWhen Stars are ScatteredThe Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginary Friend and A Map into the World).
 
Also posted this week several articles and a website on talking to children and teens about the siege at the Capitol on January 6 and, more generally, protests and political violence.
