The Transformational Power of Mathematics

Professor Eugenia Cheng returns with a video for Middle and Upper School students. This week’s video is entitled “x+y,” named after her recent book subtitled “A Mathematician’s Manifesto on Gender.” In this video, Professor Cheng covers the power of shifting your perspective to normal (and standard) deviations to show how mathematics can transform how we think about gender, humanity and identity.
