Scholastic Bowl Team Enjoys Unprecedented Success

On Saturday, January 8, Parker’s Upper School Scholastic Bowl team competed in the annual IHSSBCA Turnabout Tournament at Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

The first team (seniors Jake Boxerman, Eli Moog and Mia Wichman; junior Timo Kiep; and sophomore Grant Koh) finished the day with a 9-0 record, earning the school’s first-ever invitational tournament championship with a 565-170 victory over Palatine. Koh finished as the top individual scorer at the tournament, recording 86.1 points per game. In another program first, the second team (junior Leo Auerbach, sophomore Warner Vance and freshmen Shalen Chawla, Logan Florsheim, Lincoln Hamid and Annoshae Mirza) earned a spot in the championship bracket and finished the day with a record of 4-4, tied for 7th place out of 24 teams.
