Celebrating Big Siblings

Members of the class of 2022 joined their younger siblings in Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade to further foster connections they established at the beginning of the year as part of Parker’s Big Siblings program.

Classrooms prepared in advance for these special visits, when older and younger students worked together on a range of activities. Some seniors worked with their younger siblings on class-based projects, while others played outside in the snow or games in the classrooms. Fourth grade students worked with their Big Siblings to locate and photograph angles throughout campus as part of their math studies, and 7th grade students orchestrated salsa cooking competitions in Advisory with their Big Siblings.

These gatherings throughout the year help to build relationships among students in different grade levels and reinforce a sense of community within the school.
