Eighth Grade Vaudeville Wows Visitors

Eighth grade students, under the direction of Middle School drama teacher Ed Garza, larked about for the amusement of their classmates and an audience of Lower School students, sharing original acts as the culmination of their recent study of vaudeville performance at the turn of the 19th century.

Before each section of students shared their kooky and hilarious acts, Garza put the “variety show” format into context to help younger students better understand what they would be seeing.

Student performances included slapstick, off-beat musical acts, dance, magic and more. These acts often involved audience participation and were always an entertaining treat for the audience to enjoy!
