Parker Participates in the Pride Parade

Parker was very proud to have a group of dedicated and passionate faculty, staff and students organize the school’s participation in Chicago’s Pride Parade 2022.

This is the fourth year Parker has sponsored a slot in the parade and the first Pride Parade in three years due to the pandemic. The event came right on the heels of Parker’s first all-school Pride Week at the end of the last school year. Thirty-one alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students and friends joined together to represent Parker in the parade. “We went through 4,000 pencils, 100 t-shirts, 98 bottles of water, 87 snack packs and tons of fun as we marched the four-mile parade route,” Lower and Intermediate School Spanish teacher Karen Liszka said.

We congratulate this dedicated group of citizens for all their efforts!
