Stories, Vocabulary and Fun in Cross-Grade Spanish Experience

By Upper School Spanish teacher Julia Garner
Juniors and sophomores in Spanish III visited Karen Liszka’s 3rd grade Spanish class to read stories and engage the children in some fun activities.

The Upper School students wrote their own narrative in Spanish to accompany a children’s book without text. The 3rd graders learned new vocabulary, practiced writing out the new words in Spanish and drew an additional scene for this funny story about a naughty dog and baby.
