Memories Made at the Winter Games

Junior and Senior Kindergarten students spent a very full morning engaged with their Big Siblings and PE teachers in their annual Winter Games extravaganza.

At the opening ceremonies, JK and SK students were welcomed into the Draft Gymnasium by their enthusiastic Big Siblings, who cheered on each student and provided high-fives and encouragement. Teachers divided the younger students into smaller teams, each paired with a Big Sibling who provided color-coded beaded necklaces to their teammates and helped them navigate the various events that awaited in the Big and Little Gyms.

The games included a wide range of activities supervised by the JK and SK Grade Heads, assistant teachers and PE teachers. Big Siblings led their student teams in getting their wiggles out as they traversed over balance beams, traveled through tunnels, jumped foam incline “ski jumps,” pinned noses on snowmen, played balloon paddle ball, rolled about on a four-wheeled scooter, climbed the wall and more.

Parker congratulates  those involved for their great work combining physical activity, cooperation, cross-graded teamwork and fun to make a memorable experience.
