Upper School Figure Skaters Take State

Two Upper School students are members of a figure skating team that recently won first place at a state competition.

Sophomore Audrey Tai and freshman Nina Zaldivar skate on a team with other students from the city on Saddle and Cycle’s high school ice skating team. They competed against figure skaters from the state in Rockford’s Loves Park at the annual Illinois High School Skating Competition in January. Each year, this event features the state's most talented skaters, who take on 12 judged elements, including spins, jumps and moves in the field.

Parker congratulates these students and the entire team on this recent accomplishment, which is a testament to the hard work, determination and passion of its participants.
