An Independent Study in Abstract Algebra

Senior Grant Koh recently gave a lunch presentation featuring a gentle yet mathematically rigorous introduction to Abstract Algebra, a public sharing of the fruits of his independent study, which was sponsored by Math Department Chair Ethan Levine. We also again commend Grant for qualifying for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). Students performing above a certain level and within the top 5% of students on the American Mathematics Competition 12 (AMC12) qualify to take the AIME, and this is a momentous achievement for Grant and Parker!
