Student-Athletes Attend Leadership Conference

Three of our Upper School student-athletes represented Parker as invited guests at the 2017 Illinois High School Association Leadership Conference in Peoria earlier this week. Each year, this conference invites students who are recognized as leaders in their school community to improve their leadership skills through keynote addresses and breakout sessions throughout the day.

While in attendance at the conference, student-athletes Estelle Heltzer ’20, Jade Rasmussen ’19 and Lauryn Rauschenberger ’20 heard from keynote speaker Mr. Harvey Alston and participated in four small group workshops covering topics of leadership, sportsmanship and team building as well as effective communications with regard to social media and with their teammates.
