Parker Welcomes New Chief Advancement Officer

Dear Parker Community:

I am thrilled to report that Parker has successfully completed its nationwide leadership search for our next Chief Advancement Officer.

Working with the executive search firm Noetic, our efforts included conducting 17 phone and in-person initial interviews, interviewing seven top candidates and hosting half-day final visits by our highly impressive finalists.

Parker is fortunate to have found an outstanding and experienced administrator in Anedra Kerr who will be joining Parker as our next Chief Advancement Officer beginning January 3, 2018. She will be supervising the work of the Development Office and working closely with our Admissions and Communications Offices. Anedra is eager to begin supporting our progressive mission by advancing the school's strategic goals.

Anedra has served as Chief Development Officer at After School Matters for more than two years, where she has led advancement efforts and launched the largest fundraising effort in the history of ASM. During the course of the prior 15 years, Anedra worked in several different executive-level positions at the charitable foundation of Advocate Heath Care. She has significant experience in designing, planning and implementing major fundraisers; managing donor relationships and fostering staff and leadership development. Anedra grew up in Chicago, attending the U of C Lab Schools for a period of time, and both her parents were CPS elementary school principals. Anedra has a B.S. in marketing from Hampton University and a M.S. in communications from Northwestern University.

I am grateful to all those involved in the search process, especially Director of Human Resources Laureen Sweers and Chief Financial Officer Bob Haugh, who were instrumental in the success of this effort.

Parker will benefit greatly from the experience, skill and energy that Anedra Kerr will bring to our community, and I invite you to join me in welcoming her to our Parker family.

Respectfully,

Daniel B. Frank, Ph.D.
