The Upper School Joins Together to Participate in an Hour of Code

This past Wednesday, the entire Upper School simultaneously engaged in the same activity: coding! This past week was Computer Science Education Week, and Parker was an official host site for an Hour of Code. This student-designed and -led event was the brainchild of Nathan Satterfield ’19 and the Computer Technology Committee (CTC). Students in grades 9–12 filled the Kovler Family Library, Harris Center, Math Wing, MS Collab Lab and Sheridan Family Cafe to engage in customized coding explorations and challenges (self-selecting activities based on their level of coding experience).

Please enjoy these shots of our Upper School students joyfully engaging in this vital skill and connecting wisdom with innovation!
