Celebrating Bonds Across Ages

Students in Junior Kindergarten through 2nd grade recently spent part of their day sharing the wonders of Parker with their grandparents and special friends as part of the school’s annual Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day event.

In addition to sharing in the dynamic classroom with their young friends, visitors to the school also gathered in the Heller Auditorium for an assembly. Principal Dan Frank and Lower School Head Kimeri Swanson-Beck welcomed all in attendance before bringing the Senior Kindergarten students to the stage for a music and movement performance. Upper School student journalists spoke to the audience about their recent experience planning and orchestrating a journalism symposium at the school, and faculty members from the Integrated Learning and Information Sciences Department shared a presentation featuring many of their Lower School projects from this academic year.

Many thanks to all the teachers, students, parents, grandparents and special friends who helped to make this year’s event so memorable!
