All-State Board Recognizes Parker Percussionist

The Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) recently selected junior percussionist Aleo Esparza to perform in the Illinois All-State Honors Band. ILMEA advocates for universal access to music education, provides professional development for teachers and creates outstanding musical experiences throughout Illinois.

During the fall of 2021, more than 10,000 students from across all grades participated in the virtual audition process. According to ILMEA, “Students in the performing ensembles represent the best student musicians in Illinois and came together to present a series of All-State Concerts.” These ensembles even had the honor of performing under distinguished conductors and educators from across the country.

Join us in congratulating Esparza for achieving this honor as he pursues his passion for music beyond the classroom.
