Like most non-profit organizations, Parker has not been immune to the harsh impacts of the pandemic. We have invested a significant amount of financial resources into opening the school with the most rigid safety protocols in place, increased staffing to ensure smaller, safer learning cohorts and enhanced technology and development opportunities for our faculty to tackle the challenges of remote learning. In addition, due to impaired operations, we have projected losses on a number of revenue generating programs including Parker Summers, food service and rental revenue. All in, we have more than $1.2 million in unanticipated expenses or losses projected so far due to COVID-19. For this reason, we truly need strong additional support this year.
