Freshman Ava Farhat recently qualified for the USA Karate team and will represent our country at the World Championships in Dundee, Scotland this summer.
Farhat competes in kumite (combat) and ultimate rotational kumite (which features a group of three that fights another group of three). She will spend the months of June and July training intensively with Fonseca Martial Arts and her teammates preparing for Amateur Athletic Union Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Following Nationals, Farhat will travel with the U.S. team to Scotland to compete at the world championships.
Parker congratulates Farhat on this accomplishment and wishes her the best of luck in her competition during the summer!
