The Girls and Boys Varsity Golf teams secured 1st and 2nd place finishes, respectively, at their Regional tournaments, advancing them both to Sectional competition!
While individual female golfers from Parker have advanced to Sectionals in past years, this marks the first year the Girls team has qualified as a team. Parker congratulates juniors Fiona Chazen, Teagan Druger and Leighton Lacey; sophomore Annabelle Kutcher; and freshman Alyssa Wilson on this accolade and wishes them the best in competition at Forest Hills in Rockford on Monday.
“It feels like such an amazing accomplishment to win the regional championship this year,” Chazen shared. “With this being the first year that Parker has ever had a Girls Golf team, my expectations have been massively exceeded. I am so proud of the team and know that we are just going to continue to progress.”
Seniors Max Satterfield and Logan Gupta finished 2nd and 3rd in Regional competition, with junior Ethan Garchick in 9th—advancing the entire team to Sectionals at White Pines Golf Course in Bensenville on Monday. Parker congratulates seniors Tyler Garibaldi, Gupta and Satterfield and juniors Eli Flaum, Garchik and Evan O’Connor on their achievement, wishing them future success.
When asked about their regionals achievements, Satterfield shared, “I am excited that we advanced as a team to sectionals especially since we moved up to class 2A following our success last year. We have a great group of guys on the team and I am confident that we can make it to state and perform well.”
In Sectional competition, the top three teams and top 10 individuals who are not on the top three teams advance to State-level competition.
