Community Gathers for 3rd Annual Dumpling Party

Upper School Mandarin students shared the sights, smells, sounds, flavors and fun of Chinese culture with the community at the 3rd Annual Dumpling Party.

The Sheridan Family Cafe was bustling with laughter and learning as Mandarin students welcomed teachers and students to engage in a range of activities geared towards exposing the Parker community to many facets of Chinese culture.

As part of the festivities, students painted Chinese Hànzì characters onto reusable paper, made papercrafts, played pin the nose on the panda/dragon, shared delicious treats, danced and even tried their hands at making dumplings.

Parent/guardian volunteers helped teacher Gina Dong and her students ensure that all the dumplings were cooked and each station was filled with fun. All those in attendance left with a better appreciation of Chinese culture and full stomachs!
