The Editorial Board and individual journalists from The Parker Weekly were honored last week at the McCormick Foundation's 2026 High School Media Awards. The awards were announced at the recent Scholastic Press Association of Chicago Conference at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Superior commendations went to the Editorial Board for their editorial “Where Did the Effort Go?”, published September 3, 2025, and junior Cameron Routenberg for Sports Photography for his front-page photo of the December 15, 2025 print edition of the Weekly.

Commendations for excellence went to senior Graysen Pendry for her profile of Dr. Goh, “A New Act Begins,” published September 3, 2025; senior Delilah Davis for her original illustration to accompany the story about the creation of the Parker Politics Club, published October 10, 2025; and senior Jayden Patel for his opinion piece, “Seriously, What is Going On,” published October 10, 2025.

Join us in congratulating these writers and artists for their work for The Parker Weekly this past year.
