Expertise Shared at EMA Conference

Members of Parker’s administration shared their expertise with enrollment leaders around the world at the annual Enrollment Management Association conference.

Each year the EMA conference brings together the best and brightest people working in enrollment in independent schools to share in the latest trends, best practices and more to drive institutional success and student engagement.

Associate Principal Priyanka Rupani partnered with Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Erika Prahl and Director of Enrollment and Financial Assistance Jessy Trejo to present a workshop entitled From Portrait to Practice: Aligning Enrollment with Your Ideal Learner at this year’s conference in Austin.

In this session, Rupani, Prahl and Trejo shared their experience working together to develop an enrollment strategy centering around a clear vision of the ideal learner. They shared how they developed their “Portrait of a Learner” as a thoughtful representation of the values, skills and character traits essential for students to thrive in a diverse, democratic society as per Parker’s mission.

After leading their peers in developing and refining their own “Portrait of a Learner,” the trio worked with conference participants to explore ways of translating it into enrollment practice and aligning academic programs and school culture with their school’s messaging.

Trejo shared, “We are hoping those attending gain insight into how to create and refine their own ‘Portrait of a Learner’ and apply it strategically to every stage of the enrollment process. The goal is to give schools insight on lessons they learned and inspiration to bridge the gap between their school’s vision and its day-to-day practices.”

Parker couldn’t be more proud of this group and sends congrats to all involved!
