Alum Eddie Burns ’16 returned to the Heller Auditorium stage for a question-and-answer session followed by a performance showcasing the drumming craft he honed while at Parker.
Since graduating, Burns has played with artists such as Frank Ocean, Omar Apollo, Sparklmami, The O’my’s, Dominic Fike and Clairo. And while touring with Clairo, he opened for Dua Lipa and Khalid and played at Lollapalooza, Coachella and Bonnaroo festivals.
Joining Burns onstage were seniors Dhruv Moorthy and Lexi Schneider and junior Jordan Drisdell. They took turns asking Burns questions about his time at Parker, getting into the music industry and his life as a drummer. These questions ranged from “What was your favorite Parker memory?” to “Which was your favorite artist to record with?”
Parker was extremely grateful to Burns for coming back and showcasing the kind of success that can come with hard work and persistence!
