The Athletics Department welcomed the community to the first semester Signing Day Ceremony for senior Ava Lin.
Lin, along with her academic pursuits throughout her time at Parker, is also a tremendous student-athlete and has officially signed her letter of intent to play squash at Stanford University. Director of Athletics Nick Kocsis opened the ceremony by praising Lin for being a model student-athlete. Next, Lin’s Advisor Gigi Matthews spoke about her as a person and a student and shared some fun anecdotes. Finally, Lin’s coach Stu Hadden commented on her fierceness as a competitor.
Kocsis shared, “Anytime our Parker community comes together to celebrate the achievements of our Colonels is a happy day. Ava may be headed to Stanford in part because of her squash abilities, but the true measure of her Parker experience is how she has developed and applied her talents academically, athletically and beyond the classroom.”
