Everyone Was a Winner at the Winter Games

The Physical Education Department brought together Big Sibs and JK/SK students for big fun at their annual Winter Games event.

Parker’s youngest students enjoyed additional activity time with their senior Big Sib Captains, who guided them through various stations.

For the opening ceremonies, Big Siblings welcomed Junior and Senior Kindergarten students into the New Gym with a flurry of music, movement and enthusiasm. Students separated into smaller teams using colored bandanas and paired with a Big Sibling for the day’s big event: the JK/SK Winter Games.

The Games consisted of a series of physical activities set up around the Main and Small Gyms. Big Siblings worked with their teams to engage in each of the featured activities, then rotated to the next one after hearing the gym teacher’s whistles.

The two gyms were alive with students getting active with hula hoops and scooters, silk scarves and soccer balls, climbing walls, bowling pins and more. Their Big Siblings couldn’t resist joining the fun.

All who participated moved their bodies and made some memories in the process.
