The Upper School canine club Pups for Parker is orchestrating a donation drive at the school to benefit One Tail at a Time.
Sophomores Elle Freese and Soraya Parke have loved dogs for as long as they can remember. As they got older, they made a point to visit the different animal shelters in their neighborhoods to spend time with dogs awaiting adoption. Now Upper School students, they decided to create a club to bring the Parker community together through a shared affinity for dogs—Pups for Parker. Throughout the academic year, Pups for Parker has orchestrated events and activities to raise money and support small local dog organizations in the Chicago area.
After successfully raising $700 through their calendar project, their next project is a pet supply donation drive in honor of National Dog Day. A wish list is available here, and donation boxes will be available in the Front Alcove from Tuesday, March 10 until Thursday, April 2.
All are welcome to donate items to support their efforts!
