Senior Dallyce Harrell recently signed to continue her athletic career on the Track and Field team at George Washington University next year.
Students and employees gathered with Harrell and her parents to celebrate this accomplishment, along with Athletics Director Nick Kocsis, Advisor Gigi Matthews, Parker Track and Field Coach Nathan Small and Windy City Hammer Coach Phillip Wallace.
Matthews, who has been Harrell’s advisor for the past four years, said, “George Washington University is gaining so much more than a student and an athlete. They are gaining someone who is remarkable in every sense of the word.”
Small described Harrell as “a coach's dream who always came into seasons and practices ready to go. You were never satisfied and always looking for what’s next.”
Wallace commended Harrell on her perseverance as an athlete, praised her altruism as a teammate and competitor and spoke about his wonderful experience coaching such a high-level student-athlete.
Congratulations to Harrell on this major accomplishment—Parker sends all the best in her future endeavors at George Washington University!
