Student Work Chosen as Official Selection at Film Fest

A film by seniors Ava Farhat, Wesley Knights and Chase Wayland has been chosen as an Official Selection in the 20th Annual CineYouth Film Festival. CineYouth is the youth affiliate of the Chicago International Film Festival, perhaps the most prestigious student film festival in the country!

As part of this honor, these students’ original historical documentary To The Grave: Segregation in Chicago Cemeteries was included among the films presented in person and online by the Chicago International CineYouth Film Festival. Not to be missed, the film was also included as a selection in this year’s Youth Diversity Film Festival.

Congratulations to students and teachers Travis Chandler and Dan Greenstone on this most recent student film accolade. Enjoy this award-winning student film below and all of the historical documentaries created as part of Chandler and Greenstone’s class here.
