Athletes Make Playoff Push

The shorter days and the cool morning breeze settling in can only mean one thing, playoff time.

With fall sports wrapping up, it’s time to see what our Colonel athletes are up to as they make the push towards regional, sectional and state titles.

Boys and girls golf wrapped two weeks ago, which saw Annabelle Kutcher ’28 finish in the top-10, and the the boys team make it to the state finals, even after making the jump to 2A.

After a season filled with tough regular season competition, field hockey concluded this past week in the sectionals of the IHSFA playoffs.

Graysen Pendry ’26 competed in the girls tennis state finals this Thursday at Schaumburg High School. After winning her first match 6-1, 6-1, she dropped the next match to the top ranked player in class 1A.

Still on the horizon for Parker athletics, is Cross Country and Boys Soccer Regional finals. Both  cross country teams will compete at Lincoln Park, while the boys soccer continue to make their state run toward as they play Marine Leadership Academy today, after beating Holy Trinity in their opening playoff match.

Finally, volleyball will travel to Trinity next week as the three seed in their sub-sectional. They will face off against Noble Street Charter school in the regional semifinals.

Go Colonels!
