Upper School Summer To-Do List
This is an online version of the handout provided at the New Family Gathering. It is meant to be a guide for items that you can do ahead of the start of school, however, it is not exhaustive. Please continue to monitor your email regarding additional updates and further instructions to ensure your family is fully prepared for the start of the school year. July
- Review your Profile in the Portal and update information as
needed (available Monday, July 13). - Subscribe to the Blue Calendar (available Monday, July 13).*
- Learn how to use the Parker Portal with Director of Communications Nick Saracino and Director of Technology Pete Evans at Parker Portal 101 on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.*
- Submit your tuition payment via Blackbaud Tuition Management by Wednesday, July 15.
- Submit your Magnus Health Requirements through the Portal by Friday, July 24.
- Set up a food service account (additional information will be available in July).*
August
- Attend the first day of Upper School Fall Athletics on Monday, August 10.*
- Review Start of School Information to be sent via email the week of August 10, including:
- Submit the digital Technology Use Agreement form before
Friday, August 28. - Items to be reviewed before the first day of school, Tuesday, September 1:
- Upper School Schedule and Student’s Individual Schedule
- Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
- Planned Absence Process
- Early Dismissal and Late Arrival Process
- Submit the digital Technology Use Agreement form before
- Attend Upper School Welcome Week Monday, August 17–Friday, August 21 (details forthcoming).
- Attend the PA Welcome Gathering for New Parents/Guardians on Thursday, August 20 at 5:30 p.m.
- Attend the Upper School Family Information Session for all 9th Grade and New to Upper School Parents/Guardians on Thursday, August 20 at 7 p.m.
- Attend Upper School Family/Advisor Intake Meetings on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27.
- Attend the US Welcome and Orientation on Monday, August 31.
- Sign Up for a New Parent Meeting: Parker Community Overview with the Development and Alumni Office.
September
- Attend the First Day of School on Tuesday, September 1.
- Attend US Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 24 at 6 p.m.
