Our Athletics Program is a Win-Win

Parker’s Athletics Program features more than 50 no-cut interscholastic teams, welcoming students to discover and develop talents and passions in a variety of sports. The program emphasizes the positive development of student-athletes and aims to help them maximize their athletic potential while establishing lifelong habits of fitness and team-building skills.

Our athletes are as exceptional and high-achieving in competition as they are in the classroom. The school’s commitment to a no-cut policy with respect to athletics ensures inclusivity, regardless of a student’s skill level or experience. Whether our Colonels are on the courts, the track, the turf or beyond, members of the school community cheer on our athletes with encouragement and pride.

We field 24 interscholastic teams in six sports during the fall season, 13 teams in three sports during the winter season and 17 teams in seven sports during the spring season. More than 75 percent of our students participate in team sports, and our campus features three gymnasiums, a fitness center and a turf field to support the program.

Parker athletes learn self-confidence, discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship, while demonstrating empathy and support for their teammates as they give their all in every practice and competition.

Our athletic teams compete within the Independent School League (ISL) and with a wide variety of other Chicago-area schools.

Parent members of Parker’s Athletics Council are instrumental in enhancing and supporting the school’s athletics programs by furthering sportsmanship, athletic excellence and school spirit.
