Parker Welcomes New Head of Intermediate and Middle Schools Vahn Phayprasert

Dear Parker Community:

I am excited to announce that Parker has successfully completed a nationwide leadership search to find our next Head of Intermediate and Middle Schools.

Our extensive efforts included reviewing more than 40 qualified resumes, conducting eight in-depth phone interviews and hosting school visits by the finalists.

Parker is extremely fortunate to have found an exceptional educator and administrator in Vahn Phayprasert. Vahn will begin his work at Parker on Thursday, July 1, and is eager to join the Parker community and support our mission.

Vahn comes to Parker having served for 12 years as an administrator in the Millbrae Elementary School District in Millbrae, CA. Most recently, he was District Superintendent for five years, overseeing the education of 2,450 students, 250 staff and a budget of $22 million. Prior to that, Vahn served as Assistant Superintendent, Elementary School Principal and Middle School Dean of Students. Before transitioning to administration, Vahn was a classroom teacher for seven years in a variety of urban locations. Vahn received a BS in Elementary Education from Emporia State University in Kansas, and a MA in Educational Administrative & Supervision from the University of Phoenix, San Diego campus.

I am thankful to the teachers, parents, students, trustees and administrators who generously gave their time to the interview process. And I look forward to arranging virtual opportunities for the broader Parker community to welcome Vahn to Parker.

With a new Head of Intermediate and Middle Schools who has a strong foundation in educational administration, I believe Parker will benefit greatly from the experience and ideas that Vahn will bring to our school.

With warm regards and great appreciation,

Daniel B. Frank, Ph.D.
Principal
