Big Sis Breakfast Club Fosters Sharing and Support

Middle School girls recently gathered with their Upper School peers for a little eating, socializing and creating connections as part of the Big Sis Breakfast Club.

New this fall, the Big Sis Breakfast Club is a space for Middle School girls to hang out, eat and talk about Middle School social and academic challenges with trusted peers and adults. A group of passionate Upper School students created the club to provide younger girls with a time and place to express their concerns, seek advice and more from experienced Upper Schoolers, in partnership with their advisors—Middle School Counselor Bonita Barnett and Lower School Counseling intern Allison Gonzalez.

During the most recent get-together, students enjoyed donuts as they shared stories from their respective classrooms and exchanged advice to help one another navigate the final weeks of school before December Recess. The meeting ended with a promise to share more following the break.

Interested students are encouraged to join the next Big Sis Breakfast Club at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, January 8 in the Middle School Collab Lab.
