Middle School French students turned the courtyard into a slice of France in an immersive event to showcase what they had been learning.
Collaboration was central to this year’s inaugural French Fest, as 7th and 8th students put their heads and hands together to offer a range of French experiences for others to enjoy. Guests were welcome to sit at cafe tables in the courtyard and taste cuisine made by students, including sweet and savory crepes and garlicky sauteed frog legs. Some guests tested their taste buds on fruit juices while blindfolded as part of a faux wine sampling, while others had their portraits sketched, played ring toss on the Eiffel Tower or tried their hands at Pétanque—all guided by Middle School French students.
Parker looks forward to watching this annual celebration of French food and culture grow larger as time passes.
