Music teacher Kingsley Tang knows that music sounds best when it is performed for an audience. He also wanted to make sure his 6th grade band students had a chance to share their talents with their Lower School friends. Sensing a spring opportunity, Tang invited the entire Lower School to the courtyard for an impromptu outdoor concert.
The weather was perfect, and the audience sat attentively as Tang led his students through a range of music, pausing between pieces to give students additional information about each selection.
The audience provided snaps, claps, smiles and cheers to encourage the student performers—a perfect treat for a spring afternoon at school.
