Upper School Photoshop students have learned how to use their skills and creativity to try their hand at digital street art.
After screening English-based street-artist and activist Banksy’s 2010 film Exit Through the Gift Shop, Upper School digital arts teacher led students in a discussion about artists like Banksy and Shepard Fairy using intentionality to become superstars of the street art movement and distinguish themselves from what was commonly offered up by “Mr. Brainwash.”
Chandler then showed students how to use Photoshop’s selection tools and layer modes to create original works by these Upper School digital street artists.
