Tuesday, May 7 | 7 p.m.
Heller Auditorium
Free and Open to the Public
In the seventh year of our Joan W. Harris Visiting Music Scholar in Residence, Parker has partnered with Kontras Quartet, a local group known for taking chamber music to the next level by fusing genres and expanding the artform to appeal to more diverse audiences.

On Tuesday, May 7, all are welcome to enjoy a memorable evening of music as the Kontras Quartet shares the stage with our Upper School Orchestra for a joint performance before playing some music of their own and discussing more about their own musical journey.

Join us and share in this musical treat.

The Joan W. Harris Visiting Music Scholar in Residence program was established to provide experiences for students to find inspiration, learn, appreciate and understand the transformative power of classical music. Members of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center worked with the school as our inaugural visiting artists in 2017 followed by the Chicago Opera Theater and The Westerlies.
Francis W. Parker School educates students to think and act with empathy, courage and clarity as responsible citizens and leaders in a diverse democratic society and global community.
