Long-form Projects in a Progressive, Early Childhood Classroom | $800
Learn how to incorporate longer, interdisciplinary projects into your Kindergarten and 1st grade learning spaces in this fun and interactive workshop!
Expect a discussion-based, hands-on workshop that incorporates aspects of DEIB learning, improvisation and a progressive approach. There will be frequent and explicit references to identity, equity and community-building in classrooms. We will explore connections between improvisation techniques, creativity and collaboration while considering the development of student voice and agency through coherent, rich, multi-day projects. Expect joyful productivity, laughter and fun!
This workshop will engage in both the practical, i.e. designing, editing and constructing projects for use in the coming school year, and the philosophical/foundational, i.e. discussing and developing a methodology for creating and evaluating such projects.
